Matt's Story
Life
After graduating college at Ohio State, I joined Lucent Technologies (then known as Western Electric) in Columbus. That took me to Chicago, where I met and married my wife Ann. I joined Nortel Networks in Raleigh, NC in 1987, and had a great career there until early 2000, helping to create and grow the wireless mobile phone industry. While at Nortel, I moved to Dallas, TX, where we still have a house, and spent 2 years living and working in London and Hong Kong as well. inally took my current position as CEO of Telcordia Technologies, a NJ based provider of software to telephone companies around the world. Ann & I have no children, though our combined large families have 28 nieces and nephews. We still travel the world extensively (over 6 million frequent flyer miles and counting!), though always return to our vacation - someday retirement - home in Pinehurst, NC. Having gotten my pilot license while still in High School, I've had a small airplane for the last 10 years which makes traveling around the country more enjoyable.
I wish all my old friends and acquaintances well, and hope to see you again at a class reunion.
