After graduating from Sheepshead Bay HS in 1971 I went to Kingsborough CC, where I wrestled for two years. I then took a walk on the wild side and went to the University of Wyoming to finish school. I received a BS in Physical Education in 1976. One thing led to another and I taught elementary physical education and coached wrestling in Green River, WY for eleven years. In Green River I married and had two sons, Justin and Geoff. In 1987-88 I fast tracked an MA in Educational Administration at UW and moved to Gillette, WY (a community of about 30,000) to be an Associate Principal at Campbell County HS. My third son, Noah, was born a month after relocating, in August of 1988. After two years I took on the principalship at Meadowlark Elementary School in Gillette.
