My Kids
I have 3 step-children from my marriage to my ex-wife Lyn. They are Micheal (35), Tracy (33), and Bryan (25). At my last notification, they were all living back in their home state of Minnesota. I recently assisted my current roommate, Annmarie, in the birth of my first son, Brian Matthew Thaves. He was born on Thursday, September 13, 2001, at 4:54pm at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He weighed in at 9 pounds, 4 ounces. And a full head of hair. And I've still got mine! A few grey ones, but very few. I think I need more and I'm sure they're on the way.
My Job
Combination of jobs: Disc Jockey (What else?) and Lead Bartender at Manhattan Nightclub and Restaurant in Green Bay, WI. Best way to describe what I do is Party Host. I do just about everything from cranking tunes to spilling (er, serving) drinks to loading the beer coolers. Whatever it takes to keep the customers happy and the party going, that's what I try to do. Recently, I've also been at Diamonds & Spurs and the connected club, Sha-Boom's in Ashwaubenon, WI.

Well, I think that last part was written back in 2002 or 2003! Time to get this thing updated a bit more!
Currently, I'm still DJing as much as I can. I'm usually found at 8-Trax on Saturday nights and every other Friday. 8-Trax is the result of changing over Diamonds & Spurs. 04. It's just south of Highway 172 between Ashland Avenue and Holmgren Way in the Village of Ashwaubenon.
I'm also working at Tundra Lodge Resort And Waterpark. It's located at 865 Lombardi Avenue, Green Bay, WI 54304. We're right down the street from Lambeau Field. I have one of the best views around from where I work. I also have the largest open-air office I could ever want. In fact, my office is bigger than the one that our General Manager and owners have. I have the sole distinction of being the only doorman that they've ever had at the Lodge. I've been there since it's initial opening on August 28, 2003.
Two others were also hired as doormen, but they both quit before opening day. I was told it had something to do with them feeling that the job would be too much stress. What could be so stressful about greeting guests, helping with luggage, answering questions and talking with people? It's something that I've been comfortable doing all my life. In fact, ask anyone who knows me all too well, and they'll tell you that when it comes to talking, I was built without an "off" switch.
It has been a truly interesting and amazing experience. Between the guests arriving from everywhere from around town to around the world, to stopping off at Brett Favre's house on occasion (and yes, I am talking about THAT Brett Favre!), it really is one of those jobs that you just couldn't believe that you've been lucky enough to be asked to take the position until it happens to you.
