Maureen's Story
Hi there fellow classmates,
I have 1957 as the year I graduated but it could have been 1058. Honestly, I just can't remember back that far. My claim to fame is that I played pro basketball and toured with the Harlem Globetrotters during the 1959/1960 season. If you remember me, basketball was my passion. Then I married and had three beautiful children and now have eight fantastic granddaughters.
I didn't go to college until age 30 and ended up playing first string for the basketball team and #1 player for the tennis team. The other students called ...Expand for more
me the "old lady of the court.". It was a grand experience. I am now happily retired and live in Myrtle Beach, SC and spend my time playing golf, my passion for the past 30 years.
My book "Who's Got The Ball? And Other Nagging Questions About Team Life" was published in 1995 by Jossey Bass. I'm happy to say that it's still selling which is quite rare for a business book by an unknown author.
Would love to hear from anyone who remembers me. But please do give me a bunch of hints as my memory is not all that great. Oh, the blessings of ageing.
