Maurice's Story
Life
After many years of work related moves, we have put down roots in the Elm Creek area of Manitoba. My wife Irma and I have four children, and enjoy living on our acreage. I continue to travel the arctic and find myself in four to eight communities in Nunavut and Northwest Territories every year. My arctic adventures have been going on for twenty six years. There are not many communities north of the 60th parallel that I have not been to or travelled through.

ost of my working years have been with Environment Canada with a few years in the early 80's in retail and two years with Transport Canada in the late 80's. My main interest has been weather and I have been involved with weather since late in 1973 and continue to be involved to this day. I am presently a Technical Services Officer for Environment Canada working out of Winnipeg with work locations across the three prairie provinces as well as the Northwest Territores and Nunavut Territories.
