My Spouse
I met Ron Taylor, of Monroe, N.C., in graduate school at the University of Illinois. He was a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a full-time master's candidate. I was working full-time as an editor for the University of Illinois Press and going to school part-time, so he actually graduated before I did. The very LAST THING I ever expected to do was to get and "MRS" and an M.S. at the same time, but that's the way it happened!

ring through April 20 in an off-Broadway children's show: "A (Tooth) Fairy Tale." In the Fall she played "Mary Contrary" in the National Tour of "Babes in Toyland."
Abigail had a very rough time at the beginning of her life. She was premature and did not overcome related medical problems until she began high school. Now the doctor who helped overcome those orthopedic problems caught her show in Baltimore and proudly displays an autographed picture on his office wall.
Well, on graduation night, I had three dates. Two were surprises. Then . . . .
