Melaine's Story

Life Living in Wills Point, Texas, which is about an hour east of Dallas, TX, since summer of 2017. Lived in Arlington, Texas (home of Cowboys Stadium - but still an Eagles fan too) for over thirty years. Have been married to my husband Alex, who was born and raised in Scotland, since 1983. Have three daughters, Alaina, Terra and Brittany. Have two granddaughters, Ariel, Tegan and Grandsons, Trebor and Elliot. School Won't mention my biggest crush, he probably wouldn't want to know or even remember. (Update on my biggest crush. Found out through Ancestry that my biggest crush and I are 3rd - 4th cousins - lol.) Mr. Repko probably would be the teacher that inspired me the most. If I could do it all over again, I would definitely do some things very different. Remember fun times at Friday night football games, a particular History teacher talking to himself while we took tests, Sunnybrook in the summer and the friendships I made and still have. College Probably the most interesting and eye-opening time of my life. Living in the big city, meeting and living in a dorm with girls from all walks of life - from the "hippie" that lived in New York's Greenwich Village to the girl who wanted to be Miss Pennsylvania so bad she entered the pageant four times, and still lost! Dated some great guys (one I am still good friends with) and had two great roommates - one, a high school friend and one, a new friend. Looking back, I wouldn't trade that time for anything. Workplace My first job was working for Kooly Cup in South Pottstown. It was...Expand for more
awful - would rather scrub floors. I remember Danny Silvano running the machine and cups just pouring down the conveyor belt! It was a summer job, before college, down by Mrs. Smith's Pies and the place had no air conditioning. Started working as a secretary at Atlas Chemical Co., then General Electric - Missile and Space Division. Took time off to have kids, then moved to Texas. Worked for Shepler's Western Store, Century 21 Real Estate, DFW Airport Board, Sky Chefs, American Airlines, had another child and then back to Sky Chefs which became LSG Sky Chefs after being purchased by Lufthansa. Each job had more responsibility and more money! Was laid off from The Brink's Company in January 2009, was Office Manager for Point 2 Point Global Security, Inc. headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland, for five years. It was a very interesting job and always something going on. We did security work, for the NFL, for the 2011 Super Bowl. My former boss, myself and our two supervisors decided we would never do anything like that again! Very stressful and exhausting work. Worked as a PA for a custom home builder till I retired in March of 2015. Retirement Enjoying retirement. We are in the process of remodeling our home, adding an enclosed porch and large "closet." We didn't know what we were going to do with all the furniture we have stored in our two sheds, but now that we have added the space, we will have a place for everything. As I love to travel (hubby, not so much), we, and I, have made several trips with a lot more in our future.

That was one of the coolest things I have ever seen, or not seen. The moon covered the sun 100%. Birds stopped singing, my porch lights, the garage light, the candle in the computer window and the streetlight came on. It al
