Melanie's Story
Life
Following high school, I moved to Baltimore, Maryland to attend college at Johns Hopkins University where I graduated in 1994. I then got married in 1995 to my college sweetheart and began teaching science at a private high school. I went back to school in 1997 to earn my Master's degree in Educational Technology and began a new position as a technology integration specialist and science/technology teacher. 000 and we recently welcomed our newest addition, a little boy, in May 2004. My family and I recently relocated to Iowa as a result of a job opportunity for my husband which has now allowed me to stay home for a few years with our children. I continue to work in the technology integration field as a graduate school instructor and I will most likely return to the workforce full time when our children begin school. We are enjoying Iowa and our family!
