I traded in the glacier water and frozen landscape for living in Southern California- a far cry from the recent stint in Alaska (not without it's share of outdoor adventures though). Bet you don't know what Terminal Dust is. :) I brought the experience and knowledge of 'high-marking' on the pass and 'dip netting' in the Kenia with me, but find it rather useless around here. Instead, it is now riding 'Railers' over the 'whoops', or staying clear of the rip tide. I don't take physical fitness to the extremes anymore (former competitor in the Tri-State area) but I do try to keep in shape with swimming, boogie boarding, scuba diving, and... hey-snorkeling with the sharks is fun too. Some friends and I are entertaining a Triathlon and started training last month. You would think living here I would learn to surf, alas I suck at surfing. I make a good buoy once past the break.
