Melanie's Story
Life
After graduating from Vanderbilt University in 1997, I began work as an information technology consultant for Andersen Consulting. After working with Accenture for almost 6 years, I left consulting and became a high school math teacher with Chicago public Schools. I work at a great school with great students, and hope to live up to the examples I had in high school (Mr. Strawn) and college (Dr. Larsen).

me with my family (especially my three adorable nephews and niece) and friends. I think Chicago is a fabulous city to live in, and enjoy the entertainment and nightlife it has to offer. I still love music, theater, and art and try to find the time to appreciate them whenever I can. In my spare time, I enjoy catching up with friends and family, traveling (for both liesure and work), and trying new foods and wines whenever possible.
