Melanie's Story
Life
I have lived in So.Bend, Indiana
since 1972. I have been working
at Memorial Hospital for the past
31 years. I have worked as a
respiratory therapy technician, a
phlebotomist, and now I work with
the IV nurses.
I have one child, a son, Chris.
He graduated from high school this
year and is a student at IVY Tech
State College. I have a few more
years before I will be an empty
nester as he is still living at
home.
My goal right now is to retire from
the hospital in five years, and
work in the school corporation as
a teacher's aide. That way I w...Expand for more

have summers off and be able to
travel. I like working with kids,
and being able to travel has been
a dream for a long time.
I don't get back to New Castle
anymore. My mom died in 1985, and
my brother, Dan, died last year.
My dad and Step-mother live in
Indianapolis. My youngest sister,
Beth is in Las Vegas. She is a
musician. She also does two radio
shows. She is married, and is
a parent to four dogs, and five
cats!!!
I have a good life, full of friends,
and interests that keep me busy.
I look forward to whatever life
brings me in the future.
