My Job
BUSY, HECTIC, CONSTANTLY MOVING! I am a career counselor, adjunct instructor, and many other things in between.
School
The teacher that most inspired me was Yolanda Rettkowski, my fifth grade teacher at Johnson Middle School in Irumagawa, Japan. I tried for years to find out whatever became of her and was sad to hear that she passed away from a brain aneurysm the year after I left Japan. College
Best part of college was practically living at the Baptist Student Union...the Zoo. I have three degrees from the University of Tennessee at Martin--BSEd (Elementary and Special Ed), MSEd (Educational Psycholoy/Community Counseing track), and MASC (Strategic Communication)--that last one was finished in December 2019 (age 58).
Workplace
After years of trying to get OUT of Martin...I am working at the University of Tennessee...at MARTIN.
