Melany's Story
Life
Went to high school in Missoula, MT, Butte, MT, then back to Fargo, ND for my last 2 years of high school. Met my husband, Doug, online and we were married on our 1 year anniversary. Crazy, I know. We moved around Minnesota for a while then to Doug's hometown, Dubuque, Iowa, where we opened a small business - Dubuque Mattress Factory.
I finished school down here and am now working part-time as an RN on a medical/oncology unit at one of the hospitals. During all this moving, school, and opening stores, we had 3 boys! We take the 500 mile trip back to Fargo about every 2 months to visit my family. We haven't been to MT since 2001, when Doug and I took a vacation - we spent most of it at Chico Hot Springs. We were in Missoula for only 1 night - so didn't get to catch up with any old friends. Maybe next time.
I stay busy with my 3 boys - running them to hockey, golf, boy scouts, daycare, and school. My husband usually works 6 days a week, as his business just opened a 2nd location here. I work a few days a week to have some adult conversation - there's only so many bad knock-knock jokes I can take!
