Melinda's Story
I currently work as an Administrative Assistant to a Vice President with Wal-Mart at their Home Office. I've been with the company coming up on 13 years.
I got married in May of 2003 to a man whom I love dearly. We don't have children yet, but would love to have one.
The last few years have been a challenge for my family and I. My husband and I built a home in my hometown of Seligman close to my parents luckily right before finding out my Dad was ill with cancer. life in a different way now. My family has become my everything, especially my Mom.
It's strange how you change after High School, but I guess you need that time away to learn who you really are and get past the crap we thought was our whole life. I found out that things aren't always what you think they are whether it be in relationships, friendships or the like. Once those doors close and the caps and gowns are put to rest, we find ourselves not so wrapped up in what we thought were the only things that mattered: clubs, popularity status-quo groups, or grade averages. We found out that we had only to find who we were as a person.
