Melissa's Story
After high school I attended Moorhead State to major in Social Work. Graduated in 2003. After college I went to work for Lutheran Social Service in Alexandria going into homes to work with kids with mental health diagnoses. Needless to say i wasn't always to popular doing that, I have been kicked, hit, spit at and swore at, but I loved every minute of it. In October of 2008 I went to work for Pope County (Glenwood) as a Children's Mental Health Social Worker, love it so far.

or 3 years. In 2006, our first son, Sawyer was born. He was joined by Jackson in 2008. So we have our hands full! But it is awesome they are so much fun and I wouldnt' trade it for the world!
In October 2007, we bought my husband's family farm near Spring Hill, not that we farm! It is more of a hobby farm but we own about 6.5 acres. We have chickens and have talked about buying a lamb in the spring. It was important to his family that it stay in the family so he convinced me to move with 10 days notice. Yes, we really did move in 10 days time, pack everything up and move in 10 days! Wouldn't recommend it!
