Melissa's Story
Life
Currently, I'm a school social worker and a teacher at a middle school in Detroit. The two roles become overwhelming at times, but are rewarding. I will be teaching up north this summer at Northwestern Michigan College and can't wait. I love the outdoors and couldn't ask for anything better than to teach and live outdoors. I've been doing for the last few summers). I love kayaking and will often take off to the thousands of lakes not only in Northern Michigan, but other countries as well. So if you see some chick out on the water with a yellow kayak, you can bet it's me!

I started out at Western, transferred home and ended up at Wayne State where I earned both Bachelor and Master's degrees.
