Melissa's Story
Life
I just got married to the love of my life, Shawn on April 8, 2005. We already had a daughter before we got married, her name is Victoria (Tori) and she will be 2 on September 13, 2005. I also just found out that I am pregnant with our second child and I am due on March 1, 2006. We currently live in a townhouse in Batavia, IL, but we hope to buy a house in a few years. We also have another baby.....our cat, Keyser Soze (that name is from the movie "The Usual Suspects"). My mom also lives with us and she helps out a lot by baby-sitting so we can go out on the weekends. Well, that's pretty much it.
School
My best memory from Downers South was my Acting class. We did a children's play, "The Phantom Tollbooth" and I had on of the lead r...Expand for more
oles, it was so much fun. The teacher, Ms. Heiteen, was really hard on me during rehearsals, but after the play was over, she pulled me aside and told me she pushed me so hard because she knew I could do better....and she was right.....when she would tell me I was doing something wrong, I would get mad and try really hard to prove her wrong. I will never forget her for that. Also, the other reason I love acting clas was because that was the only class where I actually made close friends.....otherwise, I was kind of a nobody at school.
Workplace
I work at a fitness center in Batavia. I am the manager of the daycare center. I also get to bring my daughter with me to work and she gets to play with the other kids, so that's nice for both of us.
