Melissa's Story
I had always hated my English classes in high school. I did well in English, but dreaded going to the class. Ironically, I'm an English teacher. Good grief, I feel like a boring person just saying that. =-) Just kidding. I love my job. I have a passion for technology and am constantly finding new ways to incorporate it into my daily lessons. My favorite part is that I get to talk to people all day long.
More important than my profession, is my family life. I am recently a new mom. Although single, I have tried to have children for the past five years. No luck. Miscarriages and painful surgeries, but no kids to show for it. Finally, I decided to adopt. ...Expand for more
I now have two children, a three year old girl and a four year old boy. They are wonderful! Dealing with the social workers and courts is the worst part, but riding bikes in th evening and playing Candyland is great - well, kind of. =-) If you are a parent, you will completely understand. Feels strange saying that.
I currently live in Fresno, Ca. and teach in Clovis. I have a pretty good life and cannot wait to see what lies ahead for me. Hope one of you will send me a message and remind me of some old friendships. My memory sucks, so please don't be offended if I have forgotten some of the great times we shared. Refresh my memory and we will go from there.
