Melissa's Story
College
I graduated in 1997 with a degree in journalism (print) and a minor concentration in psych. I'd hoped to go into criminal reporting, but found myself doing some freelance writing for a lot of the dot coms in the area, reviewing of all things, video games. I was a member of Tau Beta Sigma as an undergrad, which is the national honorary band sorority. I'm still fairly active as an alumna with my undergrad chapter.

Workplace
I work for a K-12 textbook publishing company in Boston, and while most of my duties are adminstrative for the design department, I'm slowly edging into more editing and writing. I'm in the right industry-- now just need to work on the actual career.
I'm also working on my second novel, hoping that it will be of good enough quality to submit somewhere. (the first one wasn't).
My fiancÂ, Erich, works as a computer help-desk analyst at one of the large investment firms in downtown Boston.
