Melissa (Missy)'s Story
I moved around central Jersey a lot when I was growing up, and attended school in six different towns. At the time, I wasn't always thrilled about leaving one town to move to another, but I made some good friends along the way, and had some real adventures. It's been fun hearing from classmates from Plainfield, where I attended grades 2-6, North Plainfield, where I attended grades 7 & 8, Middlesex, where I was a freshman in high school, and Scotch Plains-Fanwood, where I went from my sophomore through my senior year.
After almost 31 years of marriage, I experienced the loss of my husband, Kevin, when he passed away suddenly in 2006. Consequently, I sold the home we had lived...Expand for more
in for 20 years in North Plainfield, where my three children, Danny, Matt and Kelly grew up. After two years living in Berkeley Heights, I moved back "down the mountain," living in Middlesex for 4 years, and ultimately moving to Dunellen where I share a home with my daughter and 2 granddaughters.
On a personal note, I have opened up my heart, and found true love...or should I say, he found me...on Classmates!
I believe that whatever your situation, despite challenging circumstances...or perhaps, because of them...you can experience a new beginning...a fresh start. I feel very fortunate to be at the crossroads of my life...with hope for the future...and love in my heart.
