Melissa's Story
Life
Since high school, I've definately dissappeared off the radar due to my intense work schedule and the constant love life drama. Now, I've found a comfortable place in my life where I'm finally doing something that I love and a man that puts the icing on the cake. Currently I'm a nanny for four wonderful kids (6 year old twins a 4 year old and a 10 month old) and I couldn't be happier. I've always had a passion for teaching children, but I've always become so attached to the kids I took care of when I was teaching preschool. Being a nanny makes so much sense for me because I really can get attatched and not have to worry about when June rolls around (graduation).
On weekends, you can usually find me shopping or at a motocross track. My best friend and boyfriend races motocross and for any of you who remember my history with dirt bikes should expect nothing less from me. Love the smell of four-stroke in the morning.
School
Who was I in high school? To be honest I don't think I even knew. Chances are, if you knew me in high school, you'd have no idea what to expect from me now. Personality wise, I'm still pretty outgoing, but I've learned to be much kinder. My history of consta...Expand for more
nt love life goes on...Never really been single, except after Joe and I broke up, that was a big deal (3 years, he went to Norwich Tech). But then I picked up a new one as always. Now though, I've settled down with a very sweet guy who I've known for at least six years.
I haven't kept in touch with my old friends from highschool, except Katie, but we only really talk when she comes home on breaks. I was never really close with many people in highschool. It's just my nature. Anyway, thanks for reading. :)
College
I went to Three Rivers and absolutely hated it, but I made it through, while working full time. That I think is enough to make me feel good about that yucky experience.
Workplace
My first job out of college was as a preschool teacher and I loved it, but hated the people I worked with and the people who owned the center. I wanted to do so many things with the kids but, I was never provided with any resources or cash, so beacause of it I emptied my pockets to educate those kids. I stayed there for three years and I finally had enough one day with the cat fights and put in my notice. Now I am a nanny and I work more hours than I ever have (55+ hours), but its hardly work.
