Life
Wow! Writing your life bio is hard especially when I have only lived a third of it (hopefully). Well, after high school I went to Virginia Tech and had a blast. I miss college life so much. I graduated college with a BA in Science in 1998. I was offered a job in Richmond, VA with Tyson Foods. At the time, it seemed great, but as time went on I wanted to make changes in my career. Unfortunately (or fortunately) I kept getting raises and promotions, so I stayed in Richmond for 9 years. During this time, I married Robert Pilkington, who I met in college. We married in 2001 in Jamaica, with the honeymoon in Jamaica and Saint Lucia. Robert is an architect, and I must say a very good architect. es to his hard work and long hours, and not his creativity.
Anyway, about a year ago, Robert was given his own office in Christiansburg, VA so we moved back to the VA Tech area. We own a home in the mountains about 15 minutes from the campus. I am currently developing my own business that will open up in February in Blacksburg, VA. The name is New River Gourmet Popcorn and Candy. I have done all the ground work for the business and am waiting for the space to be built. I am very excited and can't wait.
I have no children-- yet. Actually, I am not sure if I will have any -- I have reservations about whether I will be a good mom. Between working on my new business, I travel, work on updating and remodeling my home, and watch old movies.
