Melony's Story
Life
My Spouse
Weston and I met online in August 1998. After we emailed back and forth a couple times, my friend Heather made the comment, "Wouldn't that be cool if you two got married?" It was inevitable. We were married in SC on the 25th of September in 1999. It's been a great three years--not perfect, but we have a strong foundation in Christ and will weather any storm together with Him. I look forward to our future and very much enjoy our present. For all the single people reading this, be patient and pray hard for a godly and respectful spouse. Oh...and it does pay off to "wait for Mr. Right" in regards to giving your heart, body, and mind freely and completely! If you have already, it's never too late for forgiveness and renewed self-repect.
My Pets
Our Skip is so cute! We bought him in Dec. of 2000 (he was just 6 weeks old then). He is a cranky, uncuddly little thing, but we love him. He's beige with a white belly that fades out into his back. He likes to cuddle up by himself in his Kleenex Viva papertowel and sleep all day and most of the evening, too. He's really only up when we hold him and when we're sleeping.
My Job
My job is very interesting! I work at a scrap metal yard, where people come in and sell us their scrap metal--ma...Expand for more
inly aluminum cans. Some customers buy from us. We crush the metal and sell it to another, larger company that recycles some of the metals and sells the rest to a recycling plant. My customers range from the average bum to the stuck-up businessman; they all have something important to teach, whether they realize it or not. Our favorite bum is Larry; he's the typical 24/7 drunk, but at least he knows that an education is the most important thing to have and that you "have [to] take care [of] yo'self, nobody'll do [it] for you." :)
2006
We live on O'ahu now and have for two years. It's gorgeous, of course! We have another year or so left. My career now is Domestic Goddess. :) We are having our second boy soon and couldn't be more excited! Having children is quite an adventure! We hope to be back on the East Coast in time for the reunion, so hope to see all my long-lost friends then.
Military
Well, I am not in the military, so I don't know why they asked me those questions. My hubby is, however, and enjoys it very much. He joined to serve our country and b/c they made him a very nice offer. :) My advice would be to learn to be outgoing and not wait for others to approach you in a new community--get involved right away! And takes lots of pics!
