Melvin's Story

Life I graduated from Delavan High School in 1962, BS at Western IL University in 1966, and MBA at University of Iowa in 1967. I retired from Caterpillar Inc. in 2001 after nearly 35 years. I worked primarily in computer software project management, corporate auditing, and as a Business Manager. work for the Central Illinois Agency on Aging and I am a SHIP (State Health Insurance Program) Counselor. Treasurer of the Delavan Historical Society and president of the Delavan Alumni Association. I have two sons, Jeff (and Sara) who lives in Morton, IL and has a daughter Sophia. David lives in Pekin, IL and he has a daughter, Hannah, who lives in Houston TX. My wife, Linda, is secretary and organist for our church in Delavan, IL.
