Mercedes's Story
After graduating from SPHS I attended CSULB . In 1981, I graduated with a BA in Sociology and Speech and Communications .
I then attended Boalt Hall School of Law U. C . Berkeley and received a Jurist Doctorate degree in 1985 .
I have been a Civil law Attorney ever since ,representing a variety of local, national and international clients . My current area of practice is representing employers in employment law matters.

I married Vernon Gettys in 1997 and was widowed in 2011 .
I have been a Girl Scout Leader for a large multi level troop in San Pedro for the past ten years and my daughter and I are very involved in helping local charities. Recently, I became the Service Unit Manager for San Pedro , Wilmington and Avalon Girl Scouts and I am very much looking forward to the challenge.
