Meredith's Story
Life
We have lived in Austin, TX. for about 14 years. I am married with 2 children, Megan, our eldest is 22. She will be graduating from the University of Texas in Austin in May! Cooper, my son is graduating from high school in May as well. I also have 4 stepchildren.
I am a Recruiter/Trainer for a company called Harris Connect. We publish directories for High Schools, Colleges and Universities. Great company to work for!
My husband works for the Association of Counties. He travels to different areas throughout the state and I travel with him when I can get away.
When we moved to Austin, I found the people to be really friendly! It was almost creepy the way anyone would strike up a conversation with you...Expand for more
anywhere you were. It made me remember a song I sang a very long time ago with a young man, (Ed Cook) called "Big D" at one of our Spring Shows. The song is about Dallas and one of the lines says "friendly state." I can tell you, it is true. This is a very friendly state. I love it very much here, but miss California. We visit whenever we can.
This has been such a fun site to be on. It has been great to see what high school friends have been up to and to renew old friendships. I wish we had had the internet when we graduated, maybe we wouldn't have lost track of each other. I have great memories of our high school years. We really had some great opportunities and fantastic people to go to school with.
