Merideth's Story
Life
I taught U.S. History at RSHS from 1996-2000, took a year off to bartend in Savannah, GA, and then moved to Union, NJ September 5, 2001. Union is twenty miles from New York City, so within a week of moving, the whole world changed. It was a very interesting time to live so close to NYC and also to be a teacher. y's, an Irish Pub in Savannah and visiting family and friends. The most exciting thing that's happened in my life over the past year is winning a James Madison Memorial Fellowship, a full scholarship to graduate school. I am working on my masters in history at Rutgers University, but part of the Fellowship was a summer institute at Georgetown University. This summer I lived in DC and earned 6 graduate credits there, which was a lot of work, but I managed to have plenty of fun as well!
