Life Well, it's May of 2023 and Rick and I just celebrated our 35th anniversary. We got lucky when he bought a home next door to my mother - she pegged him as my future husband immediately - actually so did he! He dreamed about me 3 years before he met me and recognized me as the "girl in his dream" the first time he saw me - pretty romantic I think. We were married April 30th, 4 months after our first date in 1988. We have lived in many places due to one or the other of us being transferred with our jobs - and just our belief that change makes life interesting. I changed my career path in 2001 and became a real estate broker (no, more; see the update below) while we were living in Winston-Salem, NC. We moved to Oak Island NC in June 2003 (between Wilmington NC and Myrtle Beach SC), and just love it here!
