Merril's Story
Life
Attended FDU nights while working during the day. I've had my own sales agency business since 1980 after working in various sales and sales managment positions since H.S. graduation. I currently sell licensed sports products of all types including MLB, NFL, NHL, NBA, NCAA AND NASCAR. I cover New Jersey and much of Pennsylvania. My wife Carolyn, since 1970 is an educator at the elementary level. Two boys one a H.S.educator an cheerleading coach in Montville..
Northern, NJ, Our other Son is an emergency room physician in Philadelphia. We have a Bichone who is a lot of fun and a true pal. Mousse is his name. We have lived in Southern New Jersey since 1972 and currently live in Cherry Hill. We live life to the fullest. I coached baseball for 19 years and just finished umpiring high school baseball and softball for the 16th year. Now I have retired from that. I have had season tickets to the New York Giants since 1960. We enjoy going to the games win or lose.
As an added activity I now enjoy skeet shooting and target shooting. As always I need to be active. Shooting is a challenge and it just amazes me how many people you can meet at the range. Everyone trying to improve and out to have fun.

I TRULY ENJOYED TEANECK HIGH SCHOOL. BEING PART OF A SUPER CLASS AND ENJOYING SPORTS AS A MANAGER OF THE FOOTBALL TEAM AND BASKETBALL TEAM. I DON'T THING THAT I COULD HAVE EVER IMAGINED THE SUPURB LESSONS LEARNED PERSONALLY.
BEING PART OF A LARGER PIECE OF A PIE HAS OFFERED ME A POSSITIVE OUTLOOK IN LIFE AND IT HAS CARRIED OVER TO MY FAMILY WHICH I LOVE DEEPLY.

MY HIGH SCHOOL EXPERIENCES TRULY HAVE SET ME UP FOR LIFE. MY HIGH SCHOOL LIFE COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE COMPLETE WITH MANY FRIENDS. JIM CUMMINGS WHO I MET IN THE 8TH GRADE IN MRS. DILL'S ENGLISH CLASS HAS BEEN A MEMBER OF MY FAMILY SINCE. A TRUER FRIEND THERE CAN NEVER BE.
WORKING ON THE COMMITTEE FOR THE 42ND REUNION WAS A GREAT ENJOYMENT FOR ME AS WAS THE REUNION OF THE UNDEFEATED HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL TEAM.

WENT TO FAIRLEIGH DICKINSON IN TEANECK AT NIGHT. WORKED FULL TIME WHILE GETTING THE CLASSES IN BUSINESS DONE THAT HELPED ME IN MY WORKING LIFE. I NEVER FINISHED WITH A DEGREE BUT THE EXPERIENCES DERIVED FROM GOING AT NIGHT AND MEETING AND SPEAKING WITH PEOPLE IN THE WORK PLACE WAS A SUPER EXPERIENCE THAT HAS HELPED ME IN MY LIFE.

WORKED FOR AN EMPLOYEMENT AGENCY FINDING A NEW POSITION IN SALES FOR A MANUFACTURER IN THE OFFICE SUPPLY INDUSTRY. CHANGED TO A LARGER COMPANY IN 1974 BECOMNG THEIR NATIONAL SALES MANAGER SERVICING 6 DIFFERENT INDUSTRIES.
BECAME A MANUFACTURERS REP IN 1978 AND STARTED MY OWN AGENCY IN 1980
IN THE OFFICE SUPPLY INDUSTRY.
EASED INTO THE SPORTS INDUSTRY AS AN INDEPENDENT REP IN 1990 AS THE OFFICE SUPPLY INDUSTRY HAD CHANGED TO FEWER ACCOUNTS AND MORE SUPER STORES.
I HAVE ENJOYED SALES SINCE I WAS A TEEN WORKING FOR MY DAD. THE REWARDS ARE MANY.
