Micha's Story

Life First let me start off saying that I'm just as much of a dork now as I was then!!! The "now" photo was taken on my 26th birthday - That's me on the right and my lil sis, Rickie who will be 18 in August, on the left... I'm on the right in the "then" photo too - 7th grade, Darby campus - So what, I loved the 90's. I have recently completed the entire course (and then some) of improv classes with The Second City, Las Vegas Training Center. If you're not sure what the Second City is, you should look into it! I have performed in three student showcases and weekly for about four months with a local improv troupe called Comedy Off the Cuff. I'm also about to be a sophomore at The Art Institute of Las Vegas. My freshman year has been fun but I'm SO looking forward to being able to hang with the big dogs. I LOVE THIS SCHOOL! I'm working on my Bachelors in Digital Media Production and so far it's going great!!! I found myself with the highest gpa I've had in my life AND on the Dean's Honor Roll last semester (hopefully I will this one too)! It shouldn't be long before I'm shooting kickass music videos and my short films! YAY! Since I'm going to school full time and need ALL my extra time devoted to my projects, I quit my job at the wonderful Mandalay Bay Box Office and decided not to get another for at least a year or maybe longer. AND... I recently just got engaged to Matthew Proietto! He's SOO awesome! We met just after I moved to Vegas which means we've been together for just under three years. He's from Long Island, NY and that's where we were when he proposed... But the date isn't until 2006. After Northside, I did two semesters at Westark, majoring in English the first semester and then Fine Arts the ...Expand for more
second, before I moved away to Sac-town. I lived in Sacramento for six months when I decided that San Francisco was the city where I REALLY wanted to be. During my two-year stay in SF, I grew in oh SO many ways, met the most wonderful and interesting people, and found things I had always been searching for, such as CULTURE! The Bay Area became a lil too spendy for me so I moved to the city where my father lives, Charlotte, NC. I left my heart in San Francisco but grew to Love Charlotte... December 2001, I visited Ft. Smith for Christmas and stayed to celebrate the New Year. Then I jaunted off to visit my older sister in Las Vegas, where I ended up staying and currently reside. Not only have I lived all over but I also visit all over... my most recent trips include Santa Barbara, Seattle, LA, NYC four times, Tampa, San Diego twice, and San Francisco twice since I left there. Next on the list are Chicago, Hawaii, SF and NYC again for sure, and Miami (but maybe not in that order). I haven't gone anywhere over seas yet but hopefully it won't be too long until I do. Over the past seven years I've traveled quite a bit, held many various jobs, acquired several new skills while polishing prior ones, had many exhilarating experiences, made a lot of amazing friends, was engaged for a short time, got engaged again, and now, I'm finally back in school...YAY!!! Also, if you like, you can check out my web log, Sideways Falling, at sidewaysfalling.blogspot.com - It's kinda lame because I don't have a whole lot of time for it but you can check it out anyway... You just might find it interesting. I'm due for another FS visit, so maybe I'll see 'round... And if you're ever in the Vegas area, drop a line and let me know!
