Mick's Story

Life Though I'm fairly well seasoned (Salt and Pepper, with a touch of Tabasco) I hope that I will forever remain young at heart. I am an up-tempo and positive person, a Jack-of-all Trades” and enjoy working with my hands and mind. I have been a “Certified Computer Technician” for 13 years. A passion of mine is riding Motorcycles. I also enjoy 4x4s and anything about the great outdoors. My first love was playing Guitars and Singing and I still do (it's in my blood). I am currently working on an originals CD (writing is a never ending process). I strive to be the best that I can be for myself first. I work hard and like to play hard. I strive to be a positive role model for my pre-teen son. The most important statement that I can share with anyone would have to be this... always keep trying to think positive and to surround your self with positive energies and influences, leave the negative thinkers to their life’s dramas. School Biggest Crush: Brenda Jones. Inspiring Teacher: Mrs. Barnum and Mr. Green. If I could do it all over again: I would have taken much more interest in Geography, History, Science & Social Studies. Funniest: I still have to think about that one. Happiest: Winning the Talent Show & time spent with Brenda J. (No, I'm not living in the past, they were just very fond memories of the time). Craziest: Flipping Mr. Whitford the "Bird" (weather he deserved it or not, it was just totaly WRONG of me). Kids tend to do some stupid and crazy things! Workplace My First love "MUSIC", I have always enjoyed playing any style of Guitar and playing most all styles of music in general, I do miss playing for others and would like to play professional again one day. I have learned many trades since High School, always searching for that perfect niche. So, I am indeed a Jack-of-all Trades I have enjoyed working in the medical field as a Cert. Sterilization/Processing Technician for quite a few years. Though j...Expand for more
ust after the birth of my son in 1993, I quit the medical industry to work in Computer Technologies. Soon after, in 1994 I moved back to my home town of Port Orchard, Washington and opened a retail PC Store in old town Port Orchard. We enjoyed many happy customers over the years untill we closed our doors due to high overhead after the PC Parts prices fell about four years later causing major reduced profits. I have worked for other Mom -N- Pop PC shops, repaired Video Projectors for 2 years for Boxlight Corp. untill the company began faultering. I acquired my GED in 2000 and my CompTIA A+ PC Certifications in 2004. After a Divorce, I am finally pursuing a carreer in Music. Funny how life sometimes takes a 360 so many years later... Live your dreams! I am now a full time Carpenter/Supervisor in charge of 8 buildings in down town Port Orchard that my employer owns and I truley LOVE my job and my life! AND I like being me and free! Although, I am waiting but, (I AM NOT LOOKING) for the right realationship to come my way! ;-) I have learned to be a more patient man... I am now on SSDI / Life, I blew out my back but it's its also hereditary. I basicly have no disc left between my L4 and L5 Vertibra which causes Sciatica and am always in pain. I am not on any perscription pain killers SO I just try to do the best I can to deal with the pain So now I can no longer be very productive on the job for any leangth of time ( I LOVED doing finish Carpentry so it's hard to not be able to work). I can do small projects but it takes me ALOT longer then it used to. So anyway, I just think positive and do the best I can. I play my Guitar quite alot now (again) and I do really enjoy that and I read ALOT of Books. Maybe we'll bump into on another somewhere and say hi. I always like seeing old friends and school mates. Be good to you first what ever you do in life and treat others with the respect you would like bestowed on you! Mick
