Michael A.'s Story

Life My biggest accomplishment was:1.To try to get through high school with my studies,to the best of my ability.2.To try to stay focused on my schoolwork, and not to incorporate myself with other friends I know, and not try to socialize with anyone, but to work by myself.3.To try to do the best that I can in school. How have I changed:Today I have a new job, which is delivering newspapers on my paper route for The Salem News, where I deliver the newspapers to my customers as best as I can.Plus also doing a lot of trashpicking, finding a lot of things that people throw away in the trash,so I can bring home stuff, and fix it up and give it to the homeless, and needy people, and some stuff I keep, such as old record players, old radios, etc. What's happened in my life, that has been a complete surprise:Well, finding a lot of things in the trash, having my story published in The Salem News,on"Danvers Man Refurbishes Trash To Help The Less Fortunate",which had a picture of me with stuff I fix such as turntables, lamps, clocks on my table, etc.Plus receiving an award for being"International Newscarrier Of The Year" for 2004,by The Salem News.In January 2005,I have been nominated by The Danvers Diversity Committee for me donating items I find that are discarded to NSCAP in Peabody,to help the homeless, and needy people.I also give clothes, shoes, textiles, and stuffed dolls to Planet Aid to help the poor people in Africa, who have no money for any items there. I also like to listen to shortwave radio broadcasts, from around the world. One of my favorite stations is Deutsche Welle from Germany.I listen to the German service almost all of the time.I enjoy the announcers speaking in German. One time they were talking about computers in Europe, and it was all in German.I enjoy listening to the music they have such as the German Polkas, and other oldies, plus old radio broadcasts from World War II. I also love old time radio, especially all of the old radio broadcasts of:The Shadow,The Green Hornet,T...Expand for more
he Lone Ranger,Gunsmoke,Have Gun Will Travel, etc. One of my favorites is Gunsmoke.I used to watch it on TV years ago, back in the late 1960's,and when the show went off the air in the 1970's on CBS.My other favorite was Wild Wild West on CBS,and also my all time favorite was Captain Kangaroo, with Bob Keeshan on CBS.Captain Kangaroo,I used to watch it every day.My favorite of all was Bunny Rabbit, and Moose on TV.Moose would tell all of the jokes, and ping-pong balls would fall from the ceiling. I still really love the old classic TV so much.My other favorite all time great shows are:The Friendly Giant,Mister Roger's Neighborhood,Sesame Street,The Electric Company,Zoom, and one of my other favorites I like is:The Three Stooges with Curly,Larry,&Moe along with Shemp, and Joe,and Curly-Joe DeRita.I still love the stooges so much.Everytime I watch the stooges,I start to laugh so hard, when they bonk each other, kick each other in the shins, throw pies at one another, etc. The sound effects are really funny. I love the old time comedies so much,as well as the old favorites.
