Michael's Story

Life I married Stacey Morgan who is 6 yrs my junior so I came out great in that deal. We have two girls and one boy. Kaitlin is 17 and might be a future country star. Kristen is 13 and the cheerleader. Shane is our miracle child. After losing a little girl at birth we struggled hard for Shane. He was born 4 months early and weighed 1lb 7oz's. He was only given a 1% chance of survival and then a 1% chance of having any type of normal life. Today he is an A/B Honor Roll boy who loves basbetball. His only deal is he is nearsighted and for those who know me you know he got that from me. After raising the kids Stacey went back to school and got her RN degree and she takes care of heart patients at Thomas Hospital. We will celebrate our 20th wedding anniversariy next year. I bought farmland in Baldwin County when I was in school so today we have horses,dogs, cats, owls,snakes,,,,,just about anything you can imagine. We liv...Expand for more
e 5 minutes from the river and 30 minutes from the Gulf. It used to be guiet out herebut Baldwin County is booming and with the new Steel Mill we will soon be a small city. School Mobile COunty High School Class of 1979. Workplace I graduated from USA in 1986 with a BSEE. I started off as an engineer retrofitting an aircraft carrier. I then moved on to Teledyne Brown where I was a Program Manager for Defense Electronics Manufacturing. After 5 years I moved on to Peavey Electronics as a Plant Manager and later as the Director of Manufacturing of all 12 domestic plants. We built guitars, drums,amps everything you can think of so my work days included jamming, hanging with the rock and country stars. It was fun. After 12 years at Peavey I moved on to Standard Furniture in Bay Minette, Al where I am the Vice President of Manufacturing. We are the largest manufacturer in Baldwin County, AL with just over 2000 employees.
