Life! It's been an interesting 50(!) years journey (that long?!) since Sir Wilfrid Laurier (1966-1971). I don't get back to Ottawa often, and I understand that the school isn't there any more and the name is now used by some other school. Progress I guess? Lots has happened. Went to Ottawa U and then Western after SWL. Met my wife-to-be on St. Pierre off the coast of Newfoundland, where we were both studying French. 45 years later, we are still married with 3 grown kids. My wife is a Grade 1 French Immersion teacher here in Hamilton and still loves it. My kids seem finally to be off the the 'revolving door' plan (but we're keeping the house and their rooms intact 'just in case'). If you have kids you'll know what I mean. One wonderful granddaughter (so far). Some great jobs, some less great. After graduating from Western with my Master's, I worked in the provincial government for a Cabinet minister, then in the private sector in Toronto, and then up to Ottawa for the Feds.
