Michael's Story
Life
I hope that this update finds you in good spirits and health.
Life is good. My wife, Lauren, daughter, Valerie (15) and the pug, Akebono (Aki), surround me with much love and diversion.
You gotta have some luck. I was in a solo motor scooter accident in Area 51 in July 2008 . A jack rabbit got caught up in my wheel. I never saw it. It ran into my scooter and sent me and my Vespa GTS flying. Other than a broken rib and road rash, I came through ok. I'm still an active scooterist (It's not a moped!) and the President of the Vespa Club of America.
Life is diverse. My mom has been in a residential care facility for the last couple of years. She is doing well ...Expand for more
and looking at 91 years young in May.
I retired as of April 30, 2008 from my analyst position with the County of Santa Clara. I am active as President of Vespa Club of America, a non-profit organization dedicated to the restoration and preservation of vintage motor scooters and encouraging the use of motor scooters as a gas efficient alternative mode of transportation.
I've met good friends over the years through work and play. Everyone of them has left a bit of their spirit with me and I hope they can say the same of me.
I'm still dreaming, exploring, learning, and discovering life.
