Michael's Story
Finished grade 12 in 1977 and moved to the Yukon. Lived there until 1980, then moved to the Kootenays in southeastern BC with then-spouse. Daughter born in 1982. Moved to Vancouver in 1986 and to Vancouver Island in 1995. Have lived in Victoria area since then.
Worked as a tree-planter, logging cable-maker, natural foods wholesaler and retailer. Went back to school in 2003-2004 for the first time since high school studied accounting and have been a self-employed bookkeper since 2005.

I ride my bicylce, don't iron clothes and don't mind paint stains on my clothes, am active in the Green Party of Canada. I love where I live - any day of the year I'm a ten minute bike ride from seeing seals in the water and herons in the shallows.
Two months ago I became a grandfather - this is delightful!
I've been fortunate enough to do a fair amount of traveling (never enough!) and have seen some wonderful places in this world. And there are still more to see than I have years left to do it in.
