Michael's Story
Michael is from the Rose Park area of Salt Lake City Utah. My family moved to Murray Utah in 1978. I am married to Christine Brown. My schools include Rose Park Elementary School, Northwest Middle School, Bonneville Junior High School and Cottonwood High School. I later attended Salt Lake Community College (Computer Information Systems, Computer Programming and System Design) and The University of Utah (Political Science/History/International Relations). Michael works at Unisys Corp.
I got my first Job at age 14 working at a Dairy not far from my home. I worked there until I joined the Corps. After high school I server four years in the United States Marine Corp Reserve while attending the University of Utah. I held a wide variety of part time jobs while attending the U. C were I worked in Financial Aid for another sixteen years. While there I completed an Associates Degree in Computer Programming and System Design.
I experienced some health problems and was out of work for a year. I was then able to start working part time and finally switched careers to the IT field.
I married in the fall of 1989, and had three children with the X. Two boys in '91 and '97 and one girl in '93. All of them are out on their own at this time and are fine adults. I divorced the X in 2008 after a three year court battle in which I won sole custody of my children.
I remarried in 2009 to Christine and gained two more sons.
I bought my first home in Kearns UT in 1993 and sold it five years later with a more than $60K profit which I used to buy my current home in West Valley City.
