Michael Bryan:  

I graduated from the 8th grade at Pius XII in 1962, and stayed on for one more year. In November '62, I lost my mother, and was informed that arrangements were being made for me to move to Milwaukee Wisconsin to live with my aunt and uncle. In June '63, I left Pius XII and moved to Milwaukee, WI. In August '63, I enrolled at Pius XI High School in Milwaukee. It was a co-educational Catholic school of 1200 students in the Milwaukee archdiocese. I graduated in May 1966. After high school, while a lot of my classmates went off to various colleges, I joined the Naval Reserve, and in January 1967 went on active duty for two years. The first year, I spent in California, where I received my orders for Viet Nam. In January '68, I left for Viet Nam for a year. After my tour overseas, I returned home in January '69 and started to readjust to civilian life. In May, I got married. I remained in the Naval Reserve until 1975, then I decided to go back to school.
