Michael's Story
Life
I completed my research of my adoption, and found my biological parents. In case you didn't know or remember, I was adopted. My biological mother, Elizabeth Gail Garrison, was living in Denver, CO with her 3rd husband. She has 2 other children now, from her first marriage. She was 18 and unwed when I was conceived and born. My half brother, Shane Metcalf (Denver, CO), and my half sister, NIkki Smith (Ft. Worth, TX), are great, and have taken me in as their natural brother. Mom flew to Tacoma, WA to meet me in October 97. After meeting her, I got my fathers name from her, and found him shortly after in March 98. His name is Michael Henry Huddleston. My father Michael Huddleston, was not informed of the pregnancy, therefore did not know about me until I contacted him. So for him and I to have the same name is fate I guess. He lives in Fairfax, VA, just outside the Washington, D.C. limits. His son, Michael Thomas Huddleston, lives in Memphis, TN. Again check the names, My biological father Michael, my half brother from his side, Michael, and me. When the three of us are together, its Big Mike, Little Mike, and Buck. Cool huh. Anyway, I met dad at his house after I left Ft. Lewis, WA and checked into Ft. Stewart, GA. During the trip down, I passed through Denver and that's when I first met Shane and Nikki, from Moms side. I drove to D.C. to meet dad in August 98. I went back for Thanksgiving 98 and took my family, and met my half brother then. We are all still in touch.
