Michael's Story
Life
I was working at Lockheed Martin as a Sr. DSP Engineer on the Orion program of the NASA Constellation project
before it was cancelled.
I married Vickie Shultz (Moore class of '86) and we have 7 children ages 6-22 (6 boys and 1 girl).
My sons and I are involved in the Boy Scouts. My oldest son is an Eagle Scout.
I attended GenCon Indy 2003-2007 in Indianapolis, IN.
I have seen Iron Maiden live many times so far and am a member of their fan club and I can be seen in
the Flight 666 video in Toronto, Canada with my friend C.J. Halleron II.
I am a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.
I am a member of the Cerebrals Society.
I am a member of the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution.
I play RPGs regularly each week.

School
Went to Moore High School and graduated in the Beta Club. I had the highest PSAT score of my entire class and soon after graduation I was offered a Music Scholarship at U of L as well as invited to join the President's Own Band. I was also nominated to the US Air Force Academy by Congressman Ron Mazzoli. While in school I sat 1st chair in the All Jefferson County High School Band and also 1st chair in the Moorehad Band Clinic's 1st Honor Band. I was also on the Chess Team and was 5th board. I was also heavily involved with computers and was a member of a few computer oriented clubs (CCC) and activities as well as authoring some publications (Advanced Blue Boxing) and being editor of a magazine (TAP); I even ran a BBS (Middle-Earth) at one time. I was accepted to many prestigious universities, Brown University being among them. I played on the Freshman Football Team and was also in many plays, among them All-American in which I sang a solo and Toga Toga Toga in which I came on stage in a towel soaking wet, etc...
I also achieved the green belt rank in Shaolin-Do while in high school and the Star Scout rank in the Boy Scouts. I joined Mensa while in high school (I have since switched to the Cerebrals Society).
College
Majored in ECE at Cal Poly and received my BSEE in digital and analog signal processing and communications as an HKN (the international electrical engineering honor society) member.
Workplace
I am a discrete-time signal processing algorithm development engineer.
Basically DSP algorithm development targeted for digital hardware like ASICs and FPGAs.
I do some freelance work for a company called Kenzer and Company and am a published author through K&C (Robinloft 2).
Military
I was in U.S. Military Intelligence and I held a Top Secret clearance. My MOS was 98G (Arabic Cryptolinguist). I am an honorably discharged Gulf War I veteran.
