Michael Chance's Story
Life
I been firefighting since 1987. I started as a volunteer with St Johns County Station 12. Even in school, I carried a pager and sometimes responded to fires and other emergencies. I am currently a Lieutenant Firefighter Paramedic with the City of St Augustine Fire Dept. I enjoy fishing on my days off. I also spend my vacations in the west fighting wildfires. mmer on 2007 I went to Idaho for a wildfire in the Salmon-Chalis National Forest. The years before that, I've been to Montana on several occasions and Washington.
College
I'm currently taking college classes with Vincennes University Florida Program. After finishing my AS in Fire Science tech. and Emergency Medicine, I will be attending Flagler College in the fall of 2008.
