Michael's Story
Life
My life? Well, in most ways it's a fairly normal middle-class, surburban life. Married, one daughter (age 9 as of 2006). I have a couple of mechanical engineering degrees and now work for an engineering software company called CD-adapco (don't worry, you've never heard of it) where I've been for the past nine years.
For fun I like to go to amusement parks, see historical sites (Civil War battlefields, mothballed battleships, that sort of thing) and build my own computers.

bury and West Hartford. Then I moved to San Antonio, TX in 1983 at the age of 15 (that's why I've got two high schools). After graduation I went to college at Stanford in California. Then back to Texas where I worked for five years. I met and got married to Brett Covington during that time. In 1994 I got laid off and went back to school - the University of Texas for a Masters degree this time. About the time I was finishing up Taylor was born (1997). Then I got this job on Long Island, NY, where we've been since.
