Michael's Story
Life
I am now semi-retired, living in Lenoir City, Tenn. just outside Knoxville, Tenn. since 2005. I had lived in Alexandria, Virginia the previously 30 years working as a mainframe computer specialist. . I got married at age 50 yrs to my college sweetheart, But almost 30 years later! She was in nursing, and still is. I attended Henry Ford Community College majoring in automotive engineering before going to the University of Michigan majoring in psychology. I did not graduate because of funds and fun, which led me directly into my first business which was a bar, arcade, restaurant located in the middle of the Univ. of Tenn... in Knoxville, Tenn.
My Pets now is a black cat... Go Figure?? I'm a dog person...I have had 6 beautifully spirited miniature schnauzers. The oldest one lived to be 17 1/2 years old. y of my life besides my racing and wife whom I meet in my second year in college. The cat.. Just call me and I'll give him to you!!
My Racing. If anyone remembers me at Middletown then they might remember I ran track. I always enjoyed a good race... Well I also used to road race a 1962 TR4 all around the Island every time my father would let me have the car for the night... Usually a Fri, or Sat niter...
I knew most of the Island roads, particularly in Middletown and Portsmouth (sp?) like the back of my hand. And "the drive" in Newport was a great race track back then. Nowadays I still race cars... But mainly superkarts (go karts that will go over 150mph). This keeps me from becoming to old and an old far&t. I still weigh the same as I did in high school. My hair is mostly white now, like it was when I was a little boy. It was blondish most of my life though.
In 2009 My wife died of colon cancer. It's been over 3 years now since her passing and I still haven't recovered from her loss.
