Michael's Story

Life I was kind of a wild and rebellious kid. I dropped out of high school in the tenth grade and became a mechanic at Newman's Gulf in Golf Manor, then after the oil crisis, I lied about my age and started working at the Mad Hatter Disco. Soon thereafter, I realized what a mistake I'd made, and got my GED and started college, but like I said, after dropping out of school, I had gone to work in the nightclub industry, so it ultimately took me twenty years to get my degree. The day after graduating college, I started law school, with the plan of becoming an assistant district attorney and hopefully returning to Cincinnati - which I have always, and will always think of as home. aw school, I got a job with the Shelby County District Attorney General's Office, in Memphis, where I assigned to the Gang & Narcotics Prosecution Unit and I advise the Robbery and Narcotics Detective bureaus, and specialize in prosecuting violent crimes. I tell people that I wanted to become an assistant district attorney as penance, for my wild youth, which was REAL wild. I worked in nightclubs, bars and restaurants in five states, and had a GOOD TIME, until it finally became too much like work and I decided to grow up and get a real job. While I was in that life style, I developed a Hawaiian Shirt collection that at its peak reached around 100 shirts - now, my neck tie collection has topped 100 . . .
