Michael's Story
Hello to whoever is reading this or remembers who I am.
I graduated in 1960 and went to Logan from 1952 to 1960. I'm in the photo on the main page with Bob Hendrix, and Vaughn Cross, with Pauline Anderson in the yellw dress, which is a photo that Bob Hendrix posted. I have been in contact with Bob lately and have also emailed Bonny and Connie Kringle for those who remember them.
I went to NC until the end of 1960 and moved to Tacoma, Washington. I worked for the Boeing Aircraft Company in Seattle in the mid 60s and eventually moved to Burbank, California in 1969 where I worked for Warner Brothers Records in the promotional department until marrying and living in Reston,Virgina and back to Spokane after becoming singles again. My present wife and I were married in Brisbane, Australial in 1992, after meeting when I came here for a holiday in 1989. I have now retired and my wife and I manage an eight story apartment complex on the Nerang river which overlooks the Gold Coast on the east side of Australia.
We love it here after moving about seventeen months ago. I have two step-daughters in there twenties. One is ...Expand for more
a dancer ( Elissa ) and has danced at the Moulon Rouge, on the Norweigan crusises ships, and is now living in Monico and dancing at Prince Rainiers newly opened Casino theater there. Our oldest girl ( Jess ) is a lecturer at university for students learning sound for film. Like my wife she is married to a yank ( Russell ) who is from Atlanta, Ga. She worked on the sound for the movie Australia and is now doing the sound for a television show series for kids that are in grade one and two.Jessica loves her work as does Elissa the dancer. We live close to each other and we go to the same church here in Southport and love the area and lifestyle.
I'm a descendent of Leigh Roy Johnson and Olene Johnson. My mother was Bernice Anna Davis ( Johnson ) and my father was Edwin D. Davis.
The Johnson family headed by my great grand father John Johnson, were the Johnson "Swiss Family Bell Ringers"
in the year 1898.
Unfortunately on
Feb. 19, 2012 Bob Hendrix passed away. There still may be information on the web site jimihendrix.com about his passing if anyone is interested. He was dearly loved by friends and family.
