Well folks how goes it? I hope this life is treating you well so far. Over the last few months I've channeled my mid-life crisis like urges into something constructive, I am trying my hand at stand up comedy. Hey, it's cheaper than therapy and the side effects from the medication (laughter) are more tolerable. Life is good. I sincerely hope all my old grade school, high school, other H.S hang out folk (the Start and DeVilbiss H.S. kids I hung around with) and college friends are well. Living in Cinci for now and hopefully for good. Upon graduating I returned to Toledo, good people, bad choice. You know the old saying of "you can never go home again"? urn to T-town) some good years. Divorced about the time Lady Diana crashed. Some really kind people tolerated (and I hope have forgiven) me while I healed.
A few years ago I was happily resigned to live in Columbus, do a few commercials, attend comedy classes, work a little theater, stage work and grow old as a single guy.
I've survived a divorce and a major break in! A break in where everything I was able to save from the divorce was stolen - that was a cosmic knee slapper!
I've dined with miserable rich people with all the toys they could want and happy poor folk who are content and soulful and grateful for what they have.
I have been writing bits of comedy, irony, parody and sketch since college. I just never did anything with them. I hope to change this with my efforts to try some stand up comedy. I will be venturing into the open mic scene next as well as posting stuff on other sites. Stay tuned.
