Michael's Story
School
Being raised in the Army makes for a lot of school experiences. From Kindergarten in New Mexico; 1st grade in Germany; 2nd grade in both France and Long Beach, CA; 3rd grade in Long Beach and Anaheim, CA; 4th-6th Anaheim; 7th-8th new Ft. Lewis in Washington state; 9th-12th back in Anaheim (High School was not a great experience).
College was another story. I enjoyed it very much -- so much so I stuck with it to collect 4 degrees. From PLC in San Diego, to NTS in Kansas City and finally to USF in San Francisco. The "root" of study is bitter, but the fruit is sweet; and I made great, lasting friendships!

College
College was a much more enjoyable experience than High School. While I had a lot of growing up to do, and made a few mistakes in the process, overall I enjoyed it very much -- so much so I stuck with it...Expand for more

Workplace
When I left Seminary I came to San Francisco to help a friend, Michael Christensen, to start a church. After three years I left the ministry (it's a long story we can share over a beer sometime) and went into the computer software industry. I had a great opportunity to learn high tech in the early days of the PC. I enjoyed consulting, teaching, and systems analysis. I went into consulting, both as a business analyst and project manager. Now I work for a Research Institute helping with designing & improving business processes, where I interact with a lot of people. I'm having fun at work!
