Michael's Story
School
Wow, I can't believe it's been 20 years since High School! I can remember all of it like it was yesterday. I was so proud to be a Wildcat. I remember the day I got my first Varsity letter and was able to have it sewn on my letter jacket. I think I actually slept in it for the first night. I was so nervous, but so excited to wear it for the first time in the halls because some of the upper classmen didn't like the fact that a sophmore had lettered and they hadn't. I'm sure the Freshmen of today go through the same thing. High School was a great time for me, I made life long friends and relationships that will last a forever. I miss in so many ways the people who were a part of the various groups you would see hanging out together at parties and school functions. You all know the groups I'm talking about, you were in one of them, don't deny it. In our click(Eatherton,Shaffer,Keenan,Mattox,Chance,Davis,Montoya,Weakley)we all still stay in touch except Brad, God rest his soul. It may not be as often as we would like but we stay close enough that maybe someday all our kids will pal around. I often wonder if some of the other clicks still hang together. I know that Kevin Lynch, Jimmy, Mitch, Jeff, Kurt...still hang out together. Who else out there? Let me know, would love to hear from you.
School functions were also a great memory. Football games at Jeffco Stadium were always a geat time. The big fist fi...Expand for more
ght after our Girl's soccer team won state, Homecoming games getting all painted up in your team colors and decorating your car. Prom's, what a blast! The only night the girls had SEX on their mind 1/2 as much as us guys did. Summer and winter vacation, don't we all wish we could have that now. Meeting at 7-11 to check out who was going where and with who! How did we always find the party, or person we were looking for without a cell or pager. Sneaking out, we all did it, some of us were just better than others. Sorry I can run faster than you, you know who you are...thanks for taking one for the team!
To those of you who had a bad experience in High School, I feel for you. I hope you were able to experience the feelings I had sometime in your life. Memories are really all we have when we think of the past, we might have pictures, but the videos we have in our brains of all those people we once knew and experienced, make up part of who we were then and are today. For those of you I went to school with, who knew me well I thank you for the great times and unfogettable memories. For those of you who knew me but I didn't know you, I'm sorry we never got the chance to know eachother, but it's never to late to meet a new friend. For those of you who knew me and didn't like me, I wish I could make you see you just never really knew me. Anyone who knows me drop a line I wold love to hear from you. Chow for now!
