Michael's Story
Spent 8 years in the Navy during Viet Nam WAR as a hospital corpsman, and then went to nursing school after teaching for 3 years at College of the Redwoods. taught sign language to hearing adults. Stayed in nursing until my stroke, medically retiring as a charge nurse. Thinking about writing book about my collective 36 years in nursing and all the weird stuff I saw, particularly the 5 years I spent as a nurse at Humboldt Co. Jail.
Graduated in 92 with PhD in Comparative Religions, whoop...Expand for more
ie, real money making degree, lol. Earned 3rd degree black belt (Sandan) in 2009, currently working towards 4th degree black belt, Karate Master rank. Married for (mumble, mumble) times. Children are 24, and, gasp, 38. Unfortunately no grandchildren, drats!
I just keep wondering "How the hell did we get this old so fast?"
Still have some residual problems from stroke in 2007
I guess pretty routine mundane life, although it did have it's moments!
