Michael's Story

Hi, so I became the person who was Michael Green. I grew up, but I think that the person I was then I still am now. Somewhat more worldly, but CSNY is still my favourite band, though to my old friends Camy and Pam, I have learned to love the Band. I am still pondering the strange fate of my own existence and I still have not figured anything out. I still miss Cyril. Ok, so that outline made sense to about 10 people - and you know who you are - for the rest... I you hope will remember me as a good friend and a good person. In the intervening time I have done a lot of things and visited a couple of places. Undergrad in Edmonton, travels in Europe for a while. Lived in TO for quite a time, I finally moved from Jane and Finch to the Danforth - but not until I met my wife in 90. Our son Max was born in '92. Some may remember that I stared an environmental products company around this time and kept it going until 98, by which time we had moved to Perth and began to put down roots. eresting story - but we will have to leave that for next time... my son needs the computer! .... months later.... careers are meant to be developed and changed.... in my case time came to move on and opportunities arose.. hard work followed... stint working abroad in Ireland... not knowing what the hell I was doing most of the time... a lot of travel around North America for a couple of years (think Up in the Air - only better hotels)... started working from home in '04 .. now I never travel, only work remotely and never actually see a co-worker ... house astride a cow field with high speed and high def (bizarre but true)... lots of time for books, walks in the woods and golf... My son Max has grown up and is ready to spout wings... wife and I split up a while ago... Max is not me. He is taller and better looking, better at sports - hate to admit that - and not bookish. And now he is about to leave - 18 - the world awaits. Like all, I hate and am proud of that fact - his leaving. But his world must unfold as his world must and as has mine. So there you go, maybe not a complete story of my life, but a bit of a connection between then and now. Great to hear from you... m/
